ORIGINAL vs. COVER!
As some of you might know, I'm addicted to MUSIC
That's why I'm listening to this kind of drug at least some hours a day.
I've heard a lot of good songs and bad covers, but also bad songs and nice covers.
So I'd like to discuss with the community
Just tell me what you think about the songs (you don't have to agree with my opinion)
Let's stars with the song CRASH
Original: The Primitives - Crash
Cover: Sandy Mölling - Crash
My Opinion:
The Primitives are a great 80's Indie-Rock band and this song fits perfectly to them.
I like the whole mood in the songs, Keiron's voice and also the video!
9/10 POINTS
I don't really like Sandy Mölling's version.
I will never get the clue, why some really nice songs are raped that way.
Shure, Sandy looks good, but she isn't that great singer and also her voice is not that strong.
But I've to say that I like her video
3/10 POINTS

The Primitives: 4/10
It's not my music, sorry.
Sandy Mölling: 3/10
It's not my music, the song is old-fashioned, and i'm missing the great high notes of Sandy.

The Everly Brothers - Crying in the Rain (Original)
Just one of hundreds from the Everly Brothers, but a great song.
7/10
Art Garfunkel - Crying in the Rain (Feat. James Taylor) (Cover)
This Cover is ok, but Art Garfunkel always tries to sound like in the 60ies
4/10
Tammy Wynette - Crying in the Rain (Cover)
*no Video*
A country-voice doesn't really match to this song, sorry.
2/10
A-ha - Crying in the Rain (Cover)
I think, one of the greatest Covers ever. Just a gorgeous production. This song is like made for A-ha. And a great Video like ever...

Re: ORIGINAL vs. COVER!
Next song in my list: Have you ever seen the rain!
It was covered by lots of groups and singers.
The most important imo:
Original: Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
I like the mood in the song, it fits. Classical midtempo CCR song.
Very nice. 7/10
Cover: Smokie - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
I dunno. Some people like Smokie a lot. But I never listened to them frequently. Their interpretation of the song is not really my fav.
(I think there is a little gay touch in it *gg*)
5/10
Cover: The Ramones - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
The most powerful cover. The Ramones - The name says everything.
The most important Punkband ever - inspired hundreds of other bands.
Joey's voice is unique. I love the band and the cover!
9/10
Cover: The Jeevas - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
A nice, relaxed cover. Sound a little bit like the Smokie version, but not that gay!
6/10
Cover: REM - Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
A great band. But the cover?? I dunno.
5/10

Creedence Clearwater Revival: 7/10
Great Song.
Smokie: 1/10
lol, Have You Ever Seen The Rain as Party Rock. That really sucks. I missed the break: "Who the f*** is Smokie?"
The Ramones: 5/10
ok, interesting... but not for me...
The Jeevas: 5/10
In that slower version it's ok.
R.E.M.: 3/10
Not the best interpretation.

Metallica - The Unforgiven (Original)
I don't like Hardrock, but some ballads are great...
8/10
Stefanie Heinzmann - The Unforgiven (Cover)
Stefanie has a great voice, but that's the wrong song, sorry.

Re: ORIGINAL vs. COVER!
Metallica - The Hardrock/Metal legends.
I'm not a big fan of them, but some of their songs are great.
7/10
Stefanie Heinzmann - The playchild.
Maybe she has a good voice, but covering Metallica is way too much for her!

Re: ORIGINAL vs. COVER!
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters!
Imo, die BEST METALLICA SONG, and also the most famouse one.
One of the most important songs in Rock-history!
10/10
Gregorian - Nothing Else Matters!
When I first heared this, I really had to lol.
But when listening to it a few times, the slow interpretation is also not that bad.
